Financial blogs are everywhere. They all talk about saving money and even living a frugal life in order to achieve a better financial status in the long run. If you are struggling in life, it may seem that it will not be as easy as it sounds. Real problems happened with real people like you and me.
So how are you going to solve financial issues if you are a minimum wage earner and happened to be the breadwinner of the family?
Here are some smart moves for 2019:
This is the best solution to financial problems that most of us have. Problem is, how are you able to earn more if you have a full-time job and in need to also attend with your kids?
Get a night job
If you are one of the lucky millennials who work during day time, then find a part-time job at night. There are a lot of BPO companies all around nowadays. They are sprouting like mushrooms especially in the Metro.
If you can sacrifice at least 4 hours every day or a couple during the weekends. Just psyche yourself as if you are going on a night out. The only difference is, instead of spending on drinks, you are going to earn out of it.
With technology nowadays, everything is already on the world wide web. Just sign up for some online jobs platforms like Odesk, Freelancer, OnlineJobs.ph, and many more. Just make sure that you have your skills or even talent showcased in your profile in order for you to find the perfect fit.
I have an officemate who even sell cigarettes around the office. Just be discreet about it so that your Boss will not suspect a thing about it especially if the solicitation is not allowed in your office.
You can sell some of your pre-loved items such as clothes, bags, shoes or gadgets. If you know how to cook, you can even take orders for the next day’s lunch break.
The list is endless on what you can sell around. You just have to choose which one you want to market. Then create a seller account from Lazada or Shoppee.
Offer your service
A lot of people hates to do house chores. If you can tidy up the house fast but sparkling clean, then do so. If you are good with kids, try babysitting.
You can even do some one on one tutoring for kids in grade school. Since more and more parents are already in the workforce, you can take advantage of those who might be needing your assistance.
Now that you are able to earn extra income, it’s time to SAVE up!
Forget 10% or 20%! Just save whatever you can for the meantime while you are still working on some debts that need to be repaid and all the expenses.
The best way to save is to start saving. It doesn’t matter how small or big it will be as long as you can stick up with it. You can increase it once everything’s settled anyway.
Live a frugal life.
It doesn’t mean you starve yourself. You just have to practice on trying to get the most out of your hard earned money.
Compare prices whenever you have to buy something. There are alternatives out there. Try to do some research first before buying. It doesn’t have to be cheaper. A quality product doesn’t have to be expensive.
